DoughChicks 2018 Update

Hello Friends,
We hope this letter finds you warm, safe and healthy this winter. Unfortunately, the flu season hasn’t been too kind. Let’s just focus about some good Michigan weather coming soon!
Running season is here! Kara & I are training for another half marathon at the Borgess Run Camp. This is a great way for us to stay on track. If you have questions about food and exercise please check out the link:

To assist us in keeping our bodies strong and flexible during this season, Kara and I decided to join the Sherman Lake YMCA! We have met some great people and all instructors have been fantastic! Check it out. Oh! And we now have our healthy snacks available there for “active and busy people”!

We are enjoying our new Can-Do Kitchen commercial facility on Lake St. We have more storage and workspace than ever before. We also have a great team of people to share it with including the managers of the Can-Do Kitchen and C&M Catering.

We introduced new packaging for our KaraComet and our Crunches! We’ve also added some new SolComet flavors (breakfast cookies). We’re still trying to figure out which one is our favorite. What is YOUR favorite flavor? Check it out all out at:

As you know, we have a passion to get healthy breakfasts and snacks to active people! Part of this passion and mission is to educate young people about nutrition. We want to empower the “Ditch the Junk Food Fundraising Habit”. So…we have partnered with FarmRaiser which organizes school-based fund raisers. We also participated in an AimLocal fundraiser in a local elementary school. Please consider participating with these functions in our communities!

DoughChicks continue sponsorship for several area events.
We introduced our products fall 2017 at the October Fit Fest at Bronson Athletic Club.
We donated KaraComets to the Turkey Trot Time Prediction Run on Thanksgiving Day.
February 25 is the date for the Portage Winter Blast Half Marathon; DoughChicks are providing KaraComets.
KaraComets will also be featured at the Kal-Haven Trail Run on April 14.
June 15 is the ROI HOLE STROLL. We are very excited to participate with this event. Check it out:
Farmers’ Markets are happening now thru the end of March in Kalamazoo! Come see us at the Bronson Methodist Hospital’s Winter Farmers’ Market every Tuesday from 10:30am-2:00pm.
Look for us on the WMU campus and at an occasional night market at Kalamazoo Farmers Markets! Check with us to confirm dates.

The South Haven Farm Market will commence Saturday May 5.  See the schedule and make it a fun trip to our beautiful Lake Michigan shore.

A huge thanks to our local stores and hospitals for carrying our products!

DoughChicks’ Summer Markets

What a fun summer we have had!

We are very proud to announce, the DoughChicks were able to donate over $520.00 to Kalamazoo Strong from our July fundraiser.  Thanks to all our awesome customers!

This week is the last week for mid-week farmers’ markets.  Texas Township (Fresh on Q) will have the last Tuesday market August 30 from 4pm-7pm.  South Haven will have the last Wednesday market August 31 from 8am-2pm.

If you want to see us and need some great healthy breakfasts or snack foods, make sure you stop by at one of these markets (especially to get our breakfast cookies!).

You might catch us on Saturday markets in Marshall and/or South Haven. Contact us to confirm!
